Every year, the Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA) brings together a list of member builders, developers, remodelers, interior design firms, and other professionals in the industry to determine those who have demonstrated building, design, and marketing excellence in the Collier County area. This year, London Bay Homes was recognized for both architecture and design for two of its luxury model homes.
London Bay Homes’ in-house design firm, Romanza Interior Design, was honored with Interior Design of the Year for the luxury custom homebuilder’s Girona villa home in Cortile at Mediterra. The Girona is one of London Bay’s most popular villa floor plans due to its open floor plan design and smooth transition from indoor space to outdoor space with floor-to-ceiling windows in the main living and dining spaces and arched openings in the alfresco area framing views of the home’s pool, raised spa, and nature preserves. For the award-winning interior design, Michael Scott from Romanza opted for a modern design aesthetic including gray and ivory colors accented with papaya, box-beamed and tongue-and-groove ceilings, and white- and wood-toned furniture finishes mixed with glass, metallic, caned and woven surfaces.
The second and third Sand Dollar awards earned by London Bay Homes were for the luxury Capriano villa home in Lucarno at Mediterra for Product Design of the Year and Best Pool Design. The Capriano invites you to take in the beauty of Lucarno with a picturesque outdoor living space designed to make the most out of your backyard views of the lake and Italian gardens. This space offers everything you need to luxuriate in outdoor living with an infinity-edge pool designed by Acquatico and highlighted by an outdoor fireplace, tan chaises, and parakeet green ceramic tables and urns, as well as open-air, under-roof seating, and dining areas that create the perfect place to relax and take in the allure of the space. The 4,402-square-foot villa’s open floor plan opens up to this alfresco living room through sliding glass doors in the expanded great room, dining area, and kitchen. On the second floor, a private balcony and sundeck overlooks the pool so you can appreciate your views wherever you may be in the home.
In addition to the three awards received for London Bay Homes’ Move-In-Ready models in Mediterra, the luxury homes community was also honored with its ninth Community of the Year award. This award is given to the one community that stands above the rest in terms of the quality of design of the community’s overall amenity package. It also evaluates the recreation provided, including clubhouse, golf, tennis, and swimming facilities, as well as outdoor use amenities such as paths, gazebos, and sculptures that add to the quality of the community. Mediterra currently offers an array of lifestyle amenities, including the member-owned Club at Mediterra with two Tom Fazio-designed championship courses and the private 10,000-square-foot Beach Club on the Gulf of Mexico. Their onsite amenities include themed neighborhood parks; eight miles of walking and jogging trails; a fitness complex with tennis and bocce courts, swimming pool and spa services; and the 29,000-square-foot clubhouse offering formal and casual dining prepared by a staff of award-winning culinary experts. As an award-winning Southwest Florida homebuilder, London Bay Homes and affiliates are proud to partner with this amazing community, managing all new home sales and marketing for Mediterra since 2009.
