NAPLES, Fla. (Feb. 28, 2017) – London Bay Homes’ Acquatico Pools has been honored with Gold and Silver Award by the Florida Swimming Pool Association for the 2017 Design Awards.
The FSPA Design Awards program recognizes the top designs in pools, spas and water features. London Bay Homes’ Acquatico Pools division was recognized for their workmanship, soundness of design, beauty, practicality and safety.
The Anguilla received Gold Award recognition in the residential category for a pool ranging from 250 to 500 square feet. Situated in Old Naples and near Gulf of Mexico beaches, the Anguilla pool features moving and illuminated water designs enhanced by linear elements. The spa becomes part of the pool, floating within inches of its edge, and a shallow sun shelf doubles as entry into the pool and as a water feature with its contemporary-styled water spouts.
A raised weatherproof wood plank deck – seldom seen in Florida – is nestled within a fringe of palm trees. Additional features include sparkling mosaic frosted aqua, gray, beige and green glass tiles.
Located in the Portofino neighborhood at Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club, the Benita was honored with a Silver Award in the residential category for a pool ranging from 501 to 700 square feet. Offering expansive alfresco spaces, the Benita’s custom pool features curving edges and a free-form design echoing the lake in the home’s backyard. The spa is slightly raised above the water surface, creating the illusion of floating within the pool. Architectural features include a trellis-topped wall with an arched opening framing an illuminated opaque aqua water bowl on a pedestal.
