Romanza Interior Design introduces coastal design in the Clara luxury villa model in Mediterra

NAPLES, Fla. (April 17, 2017) – London Bay Homes’ newest model in Mediterra offers a coastal-inspired design by Michael Scott of Romanza Interior Design in the single-family Clara, now open for viewing.

Overlooking a beautiful lake in Cabreo, a neighborhood of maintenance-free villas built exclusively by London Bay Homes in Mediterra, the Clara’s relaxed contemporary design showcases a color palette of sea green, sand and jade against off-white backgrounds and contrasting dark hardwood flooring.

Offering 3,369 square feet of interior living space, the Clara villa has three bedrooms, three full baths, a powder room, formal living and dining rooms, a study and an open floor plan blending the kitchen and great room. Two sets of sliding glass doors open to the pool deck and covered outdoor living area.

Double glass entry doors topped by an eyebrow transom window open to the foyer where Scott introduces jade on an accent wall and limestone tile flooring, installed in a diagonal pattern. A circular table is positioned in the center of the foyer below a metal pendant light.

The limestone reappears in the guest and master bedroom hallways, the laundry room and master bathroom. Dark hardwood floors begin in the living room and continue into the adjoining dining room, family room, kitchen and study.

The more formal spaces of the living and dining rooms are separated by a wide opening topped with decorative crown molding. The living room’s sofa wall features framed metal flower-themed artwork centered within picture-frame molding. Dark wood-toned side tables and a coffee table floating above an upholstered ottoman are complemented by the lighter wood frames of the two armchairs. Patterned pillows introduce nature-derived greens, ochre and burnt sienna while glass table lamps add a touch of aqua.

The dining room’s tray ceiling features a gray painted surface accented by painted jade beams with a circular detail. A black metal chandelier adds a modern touch above the medium-toned round dining table complimented by sea green upholstered chairs with ivory frames. The room’s main wall is accented with nine square mirrors. A woven blind framed by patterned drapery panels add texture; the panels repeat a smaller scale pattern on the living room pillows. A painting on the wall depicts a range of vivid blues and seashore tones, adding more color to the space.

“The kitchen is very dramatic,” said Scott. “It has a 12-foot ceiling, 10-foot tall custom cabinetry painted sea green and white quartzite countertops.”

The room also offers a large freestanding center island illuminated by two steel and diffused glass orb pendants and seating for four on upholstered stools with driftwood frames. GE Monogram stainless steel-finished appliances include a refrigerator, built-in microwave and a 36-inch range with a stainless-steel hood and mosaic tile backsplash. Portions of the upper cabinetry are accented with glass doors and interior lighting.

A butler’s bar connects the kitchen and dining room and offers china storage, an under-counter wine refrigerator and pantry. A black metal wine rack offers extra storage and functions as a piece of artwork.

The master suite and study are found in a private wing near the foyer. White walls and arched plantation shutters in the study provide a background for dark furnishings, including a large storage credenza and modern-classic dark lacquered-topped writing desk. Its tray ceiling features a jade painted surface and white beams.

The master bedroom’s multilevel ceiling has a sea green painted surface and white crown molding. A color palette of mostly sand and creams is conveyed in the draperies, fully upholstered bed and furniture with dashes of sea green in patterned pillows and an upholstered bench. Four picture frames above the bed depicting deep indigo watercolor artwork completes the look. The owner’s suite also offers a large walk-in custom-outfitted closet.

Its bathroom features a freestanding tub under a window, a glass-enclosed tiled shower and sea green painted floating vanity cabinetry with quartzite countertops and two contemporary vessel sinks. Metallic finishes appear in the frames of the two mirrors above each sink.

The Clara’s guest rooms offer private full baths and walk-in closets, as well.

Alfresco areas include covered living and dining areas and an outdoor kitchen with a built-in stainless steel grill, sink, refrigerator, granite countertops and stainless steel cabinetry doors. Sling furniture provides seating for six at the rectangular dining table. Four armchairs upholstered in camel-colored outdoor fabric are positioned around a circular coffee table.

A built-in, raised rectangular fire feature is pushed to the edge of the infinity-edge pool, echoing the shape of the raised spa and raised planters, which are finished with mosaic tile. The pool offers a large sun shelf and a swim-out bench; the spa has two spillovers.

The Clara’s architectural elements include a stone-clad entry tower, arched windows, corbels and banding.

Located at 16759 Cabreo Drive, the Clara is priced at $1,995,000, fully furnished.

Cabreo is located in Mediterra’s Garden Neighborhood, which features the Parterre Garden, the community’s largest neighborhood park with formal gardens, fountained lake views, sitting areas, and a large reflecting pond with decorative stone frog waterspouts.
