London Bay Homes unveils new Selection Studio

NAPLES, Fla. (April 11, 2017) – A leading homebuilder and developer in the Southwest Florida luxury custom home market for more than 25 years, London Bay Homes has opened a new Selection Studio showcasing the latest design trends in the building industry.

“Every room of the Selection Studio has been designed to reinforce London Bay Homes’ brand promise of Private Label Living, and ensure that each home is a personal expression of the homeowners’ distinctive needs, passion and desires,” said Mark Wilson, president and CEO of London Bay Homes. “Clients experience a personalized approach the moment they enter the Selection Studio. They connect with our award-winning team of architects, designers and building experts, who offer a true design-build method to ensure a smooth and enjoyable process.”

The 3,500-square-foot studio offers intimate vignette spaces with varied designs featuring state-of-the-art finishing selections.

“The Selection Studio has all of the elements needed to build a home – from flooring and cabinets to countertops and appliances,” said Selection Studio Manager, Alena Birger. “Rather than selecting from a catalog or online, the studio allows homeowners to touch, feel and experience the lifestyle they desire for their custom home.”

Featuring an open floor plan design, the Selection Studio immediately welcomes guests to the hospitality bar, reception lounge and kitchen. Additional spaces include a home office, flooring, cabinet and outdoor living studios, a planning room, millwork gallery, and master suite and bathrooms.

“We designed the space to showcase a multitude of living scenarios and selections to spark imagination,” said Birger. “Whether it’s an exotic stone and mother-of-pearl backsplash or a feature wall made out of wood mosaic tile and sculptural 3D elements, the showrooms prompt homeowners to think outside the box and create a truly individualized experience.”

The hospitality bar’s industrial-glam theme is complimented by top-of-the-line Wolf appliances, including a coffee maker, Sub-Zero 24-inch tall wine refrigerator, under counter beverage center and ice maker. The space also includes a snowfall-hued granite countertop, a peacock-themed handmade stained glass and mirror backsplash, and floor-to-ceiling stone feature wall.

The reception lounge features clean-lined furnishings and Feng Shui elements enhanced by a fireplace and a limestone sidewall.

Positioned as the focal point of the Selection Studio, the loft-style chef’s kitchen offers a contemporary approach with custom-stained, rift oak cabinetry featuring a push hydraulic lift system, wood and leather barstools, and an 11-foot Pompeii quartz cascading waterfall island. The fully equipped kitchen also features Wolf appliances, including wall ovens, a steam oven, microwave oven, induction cooktop and Sub-Zero refrigerators.

The studio’s home office features a tranquil coastal design with custom finishes and furniture by Omega, and detailed wood flooring that mimics the dome-shaped wood ceiling. Bi-parting glass doors add privacy for client discussion and planning.

Birger designed the studio’s master suite to evoke a spa-like luxury retreat with all-white marble walls, a marble and mother-of-pearl laser cut mosaic glass tile feature wall set behind a Kohler soaking tub, and white-ice Carrera tile flooring. The space also has a contemporary multilight pendant overhead fixture and built-in storage alcoves with warm lighting.

Taking a fresh approach to the traditional, the flooring studio showcases wood flooring installed on the ceiling in a diamond pattern – also repeated on the floor.

The studio’s dual bathrooms and custom built-in closet spaces display a contrasting juxtaposition of light, bright and ethereal designs situated opposite a more masculine, mid-century modern aesthetic. Elements in one of the bathrooms includes custom furniture and vanities with illuminated glass and a sandblasted top, while the adjacent bathroom features a psychedelic mosaic tile floor pattern, a granite sink and countertop, and a black tile feature wall. Both bathrooms have venetian plaster on the walls and ceiling.

The Selection Studio is staffed with a team of professionals to answer questions and work with clients to create custom designs reflecting the homeowners’ individual tastes.
