London Bay Development Group, an affiliate of Naples-based London Bay Homes, has completed the purchase of Raptor Bay, the 475-acre property along Estero Bay in Bonita Springs that includes the Raptor Bay Golf Club and its 18-hole championship golf course.
London Bay will construct up to 503 condominium residences in a multi-year, multi-phase plan that will meet the exceptional standards of luxury development London Bay has achieved in its 30 years of homebuilding and placemaking in Southwest Florida.
“Adding Raptor Bay to our land portfolio along Estero Bay provides London Bay with an incredible opportunity – a canvas upon which to create a world-class development project that will include both condominium residences and a best-in-class Life Plan Community,” said Mark Wilson, CEO of London Bay. “The waterfront location offers not only terrific waterfront views but also a natural setting for lifestyle amenities focused on health and wellness. We are collaborating with the industry’s most talented planners and designers to ensure a project like no other in Southwest Florida.”
Located just north of the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa and London Bay’s Bayview project on the site of the former Weeks Fish Camp, Raptor Bay includes vast acres of protected bayfront mangroves and natural vegetation that helped to inform the property’s name decades ago as a home for birds of prey and other native species that thrive in the waterfront environment.
While timing for the development plans to be complete is not yet clear, Wilson said the site plan, architectural details, and amenity offerings will be shared with the community once finalized.
