London Bay Development Group and national construction company Suffolk recently celebrated a major construction milestone for Grandview with a topping out ceremony on April 7. Having reached the 11th floor, the ceremony also provided the first opportunity to experience the magnificent views from the residences, scheduled for completion in spring 2023.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be at this stage of vertical construction,” said Mark Wilson, CEO and president of London Bay Development Group. “Grandview represents the collective vision of a team inspired to design and build a luxury high-rise unlike any other. It is the first new high-rise tower built on Estero Island in over a decade and is already more than 60 percent sold. It’s a testament to the area’s desirability and waterfront attractions coupled with the opportunity Grandview provides – premier designs with beautiful views, modern amenities and a desirable timeline.”
Based on a preliminary study, the project is estimated to have the following economic impact throughout the construction phase:
- 350 jobs will be created throughout the span of the project
- 15 jobs at full employment in the community
- $650,000 in impact fees to Lee County
- $1 – 1.5 million in annual tax revenue
Attended by representatives from London Bay, Suffolk, Commissioner Ray Sandelli, Mayor Ray Murphy, neighboring residents and trade partners, the topping-out ceremony included an appreciation lunch and tours.
“We are very proud to continue our relationship with London Bay Development Group through this beautiful project, Grandview at Bay Beach,” said Josh Christensen, general manager of Suffolk. “Construction is alive and thriving in Southwest Florida and we, along with London Bay, believe in offering quality construction and design, providing excellent service to our clients, and using the latest technology and innovation in everything we do. This celebration is not only about marking a topping off milestone, but also thanking our 200 team members and trade partners working on this site each day.”
Suffolk and London Bay also partnered on the resort-inspired clubhouse and residences at Moorings Park Grande Lake, Naples’ premier Life Plan Community.
Situated on the southern tip of Estero Island, Grandview introduces modern coastal architecture and an elevated lifestyle with luxury residences offering 2,400 to over 2,900 square feet of living space, panoramic water views, and private on-site amenities.
The Grandview team also includes Nashville-based Interior Design Associates, Curts Gaines Hall Jones Architects from Tampa and Innovations Design Group, an Orlando landscape architecture and master-planning company.
Thoughtfully designed for today’s lifestyles and homebuyer preferences, Grandview’s 58 luxury residences feature open-concept floor plans with three and four bedrooms, up to three-and-a-half bathrooms and breezy covered and open-air terraces. Each home has private elevator access and dedicated parking in the main garage. Six exclusive penthouses feature 11-foot ceilings and a private two-car garage.
Wide foyers lead to spacious living areas that include great rooms, elegant dining areas and gourmet kitchens. Select floor plans also feature large dens for working or relaxing.
Luxurious master suites in Grandview offer generous walk-in closets and sitting areas that create the ideal spot to enjoy water views. Spa-worthy bathrooms boast dual vanities, oversized walk-in showers and Kohler fixtures.
Grandview’s elevated waterfront lifestyle comes alive in The EL, its upscale on-property amenities hub accessed by a floating glass staircase curving from the first-floor lobby. Amenities focus on wellness and a resort-inspired lifestyle with inviting coastal interior design by Interior Design Associates.
The club-style social room features a linear fireplace, card tables, multiple seating areas, a catering kitchen and bar within a palette of colors, textures and elegant furnishings inspired by the sea and nearby beaches.
“The interior design is a modern expression of coastal elegance,” said Jennifer Glass, president and principal of the Nashville design firm. “We selected materials that are beautiful in their simplicity. Details are clean lined and boldly expressed. The color palette is both soothing and energetic. As an extension of Grandview’s homes, amenities are well-appointed and well-designed, welcoming residents whether they’re wearing a cocktail dress or shorts and sandals.”
The EL’s indoor spaces flow to spacious outdoor amenities, which include a raised spa, covered and open-air gathering areas, a built-in banquette circling a fire pit, an alfresco kitchen equipped with two grills and a second fireside destination. Pergolas, palm trees and colorful landscaping impart a tropical ambience.
Grandview also offers a fitness center with state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment, a yoga studio with a mirror wall, barre and cushioned flooring, and the convenience of men’s and women’s changing rooms.
Grandview residents will also have access to the activities and amenities offered within Waterside, including a resort-style swimming pool and spa, and walking and jogging paths.
A fishing pier, beach access and nearby marinas offer additional opportunities for outdoor excursions, including boating, biking, fishing charters and sunset cruises. Residents can rent a power boat, sailboat, jet ski or kayak along the Great Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail, a 190-mile canoe and kayak trail that weaves through the waters of Lee County.
Situated two miles north of Lovers Key State Park, Grandview is minutes from the beaches of Fort Myers Beach and world-class shopping, dining, golf and cultural experiences in Naples.
