NAPLES, Fla. (Dec. 4, 2014) – Carmen Mauceri has been promoted to general manager and chief operating officer for The Club at Mediterra, the member-owned golf and beach club within Collier County’s eight-time Community of the Year.
Mauceri joined the Mediterra team in 2011 as director of club operations and has nearly 20 years of experience in clubhouse and hospitality operations.
“Carmen is highly respected by both our members and our staff. We are extremely fortunate to have an individual with his experience, leadership and interpersonal skills as part of our team,” wrote Carl Dill, president of the Board of Governors for The Club at Mediterra, in announcing the board’s selection of Mauceri. “In this new capacity, Carmen will report to the Board and will be responsible for executing all board policies and strategic direction.”
A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, Mauceri previously served as director of club operations for Chagrin Valley Country Club in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
Mauceri has earned numerous culinary and service awards, including the American Culinary Federation Award of Excellence and Chef de Cuisine for a presidential dinner. He also was executive chef at The Country Club in Cleveland when it achieved status as a Platinum Club of America.
For the past three years, Mauceri has been involved in all aspects of club operations at the Club at Mediterra, which offers two world-class Tom Fazio-designed golf courses and the private 10,000-square-foot Beach Club on the Gulf of Mexico.
“This is a very well-deserved promotion,” Dill said.
Mediterra, Naples’ premier golf and beach club community, received a 2013 Aurora Award for Best Residential Development in the Southeastern United States and ranks as one of the top private clubs in the world by BoardRoom magazine.
The 1,700-acre community offers an array of amenities, including the recently renovated 32,000-square-foot clubhouse offering formal and casual dining; the Tavern on 18 lounge and restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating; fitness complex with tennis and bocce courts; and the Beach Club, featuring an elevated swimming pool, casual dining with a full bar, and valet service for beach chairs, umbrellas, and beverage and food menus.
Mediterra’s Golf Learning Center offers indoor and outdoor hitting stations, video equipment with launch monitor, a 2.5-acre short game practice complex with three greens, and a staff of certified PGA professionals. Membership opportunities at Mediterra are limited to just 225 members per 18 holes.
All of the Club’s amenities are member-owned.
Mediterra’s master plan includes more than 1,000 acres dedicated to open space with golf, parks and nature preserves.
Since December 2009, London Bay Homes and affiliates have managed all new home sales and marketing for the luxury community. Resale properties are listed through Mediterra Realty.
Available home designs in Mediterra include single-family estate homes and single-family maintenance-free villas priced from the $800,000s to more than $7 million.
