NAPLES, Fla. (March 29, 2017) – Glass surfaces, gray-toned woods, metallic finishes, and a muted palette of warm grays accented by aquamarine and touches of coral elevate the relaxed contemporary interior design throughout the 3,110-square-foot Bettina model in Mediterra.
London Bay Homes’ new luxury single-family villa model is fully furnished by Luann Powers Gliwski of award-winning Romanza Interior Design. It is located in Cabreo, an intimate neighborhood of maintenance-free villas in Collier County’s 10-time Community of the Year.
The four-bedroom, four-bath Bettina is shown with a study, formal dining room, great room, kitchen, café and multiple outdoor destinations, including a custom pool and spa, a linear fireplace and covered living and dining areas.
The model overlooks a lake and Mediterra’s Parterre Garden, the community’s largest neighborhood park with formal gardens, fountained lake views, sitting areas, and a large reflecting pond with decorative stone frog waterspouts.
Contemporary furniture pieces and an eclectic selection of unique lighting fixtures – one inspired by Area 51 – add to the model’s mood, which Gliwski describes as “understated sophistication.” The muted palette and clean-lined forms of the furniture evoke a spa-like environment.
The Bettina’s main 24-by-24-inch porcelain tile floors provide a neutral background against a contrasting color palette of gray and white, gray painted walls, greige tray ceilings and jolts of jewel tones.
The great room’s sectional sofa and dining room chairs are upholstered in light ivory and gray fabrics and paired with gray wood finishes. Tray ceilings above the dining room, foyer and great room define each space within an open floor plan; the design visually connects to the kitchen and café, and through sliding glass doors to the alfresco areas, pool and spa.
The dining room features a rectangular table with a glass top and slate-gray base. Mixed metals include white opal etched sconces mounted on a mirror and three metallic taupe chandeliers.
The great room’s TV wall is accented with four niches on one side. A magnolia blue area rug pops against the furniture and tile flooring, picking up similar colors in the sectional’s throw pillows.
The adjoining kitchen features a mostly white palette, including painted maple perimeter cabinetry and quartz countertops. Gray is referenced in the soft driftwood tone of the freestanding island, its natural stone countertop with a cream background, and taupe and gray veining; contemporary-styled bar stools with a topaz finish compliment the space.
The adjoining café has a shell-gray circular table, taupe slipcovered chairs and a metallic taupe pendant. A contemporary console features a glass top and a graphite- and slate-finished base.
In the master suite, pale blue and aquamarine accent pillows stand out against the medium gray of the upholstered bed and its Durango gray frame – a finish that brings out the wood’s natural grain. French doors in the master bedroom open to the pool deck.
The master suite offers dual walk-in closets and a bathroom with a separate tub, glass-enclosed shower, water closet and vanity with two sinks. The tray ceiling in the bathroom features an Area 51 saucer chandelier fashioned from recycled steel looping bands and recycled glass drops. The painted gray maple vanity has a white quartz top. The quartz is also used on the tub deck and the seat in the frameless shower, clad in a polished porcelain tile with a marble look.
The study is located just off the foyer and has wood flooring, slate-finished wood etageres and a desk with a sea-inspired motif introduced in the giant clamshell desk lamp.
The Bettina’s two guest rooms are located near the owner’s entry, which offers built-in cabinetry and a desk, both painted gray.
One of the bedrooms features a headboard wall painted blue, an upholstered queen bed with blue and gray bedding, and dragonfly artwork with jewel tones of violet, amethyst, emerald, ruby and sapphire. Its private bathroom has a greige painted vanity with a white quartz countertop and glacier white tile floor and shower.
The third bedroom features a palette of soft blue and blue-gray with deep coral accents and light wood furnishings. The private bath’s porcelain silver tile floor has a cement look that contrasts the subtle driftwood pattern of porcelain tile shower walls and the sepia tones of larger-than-life sea shell photographs on Plexiglas.
The Bettina’s clean-lined classic architecture is painted in the warm gray used throughout most of the interior, and is accented with acid-finished gray precast, mountain ledge stone cladding, medallions and painted corbels. The recessed paneled doors of the three-car garage feature a warm wood grain. The exterior has metal grills and entry gates, and a tumbled paver driveway set in a basketweave pattern.
The Bettina introduces bronze outside – from its window screens and casings, sliding glass door frames and screen pool enclosure to its downspouts and double French entry doors.
Additional alfresco elements include outdoor dining and sitting areas and an outdoor kitchen, offering a grill, refrigerator and sink built into cabinetry featuring stainless steel doors and topped with a mid-gray colored Dekton counter.
The spa is embellished with a fluted spillway and an accent wall of mosaic tile in pearl-finished blues, grays and taupes resembling agate. The mosaic is also used for waterlines in the pool and spa.
A linear shell stone fire feature has a burner of decorative ceramic stone gray.
